Who We Are Today
The Payson Senior Center, Inc. (“The Center”) is a community-based organization that relies on a small staff and many volunteers to serve Rim Country.  We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation founded in 1985 by a group of retirees who saw the need for senior connections and resources. Through their vision, The Center facility was purchased, and its programs established.

Our Mission
Our mission is to assist individuals aged 50 and older to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency with dignity and to offer choices of appropriate care by providing a wide range of community and home-based services offered with the individual’s needs being held in confidence.  These services include meals on wheels, congregate meals, door to door transportation, and many programs that focus on health and wellness.

Our Commitment
Our commitment is to transform the lives of our vulnerable seniors by supporting the most basic needs of low-to-moderate income seniors so that they may enjoy the greatest possible levels of health, self-sufficiency, and well-being in their own homes for as long as possible.  Quality of life, security, and accessibility to services are the outcomes we pursue for those we serve.

Community Impact
With solid support from our community, The Center has been a major influence on the lives of those we serve and their families.  Quality of life has been improved by our health and wellness classes, our nutritious meal programs, and our activities and services. Socialization is at the very heart of what we do.  The Center’s caregiver support group, safety education, and referrals to appropriate resources have increased awareness and well-being.  Our success is built on the accessibility we have provided so that everyone can engage in our services and programs.

Our Vision For Tomorrow
The new Center is about life.  It is a place where people come together to enjoy each other, to learn and share ideas, to exercise mind and body, and to enjoy eating together.  It is about connections and resources and enhancement in quality of life not only for seniors but for the entire community. It will be a meeting place for many generations to come.

Why Now?

We have outgrown our current facility.  The limited space does not allow us to meet program demands and reach our growth potential.  Our vision for tomorrow requires a building that is multi-functional for growing our services and new programs as we adapt to the needs of our community. The time is now for this Building Campaign.

DONATION
Your donation to this Building Campaign will help change this community for generations to come. 100% of all these donations go directly to The Center’s new building construction and improvements.
We at The Center and all we serve thank you for your generous donation.
